Action

  • Organized activity to accomplish an objective: a problem requiring drastic action. (2)
  • Something done (usually as opposed to something said.) (3)

It is estimated that somewhere between 4 and 6 million companion animals are euthanized every year through no fault of their own. These are healthy, loving, adoptable animals. They were turned into shelters because of changes in circumstances. Maybe someone had to move to a new residence. Someone else developed an allergy. Many are just no longer wanted.

The numbers of animals that are abused every year is not known. Animals are found neglected and/or abused by the people who are supposed to care for them. More are found injured and trying to survive on their own at the side of the road or in an old abandoned building. Their remains are found in dumpsters and shallow graves. And these do not include the poor creatures who are caught up in the world of dog fighting, experimentation, and many other horrors that if we were to see a human being subjected to, we would all be up in arms and demanding that changes happened. But because it is “only an animal”, many people look the other way and pretend that these creatures do not having feelings or rights.

But the tide is slowly changing. More and more people are joining the fight to demand better treatment and a change in the status quo. There are hundreds of thousands of individuals who everyday strive to make a difference in the lives of animals. Through adoption, rescue, transport groups, offering medical assistance, just to name a few. People fighting to make a difference in the lives of animals, giving a voice to the voiceless.

This site and what we do is dedicated to all of those who are striving to make a difference.
