Contests
We intend to regularly have contests going on. Some will be
geared towards the groups that have the most contributions
during a given period. Some will award prizes to the groups
themselves. Others will have the prizes given to the visitors
to the site. You will want to check back often to see what is
currently happening as well as who won the last contest.
Our first contest to begin on September 1st and to continue
through the 20th will be one for new designs. More information
about that contest will be posted by August 15th.
In the mean time, be thinking about ideas and putting
together designs for some of our other furred, finned and
feathered friends.
September Contest
DESIGN CONTEST
There are so many issues out there I want to have designs
for. But it takes a bit of time to get the designs
together. So in an effort to get more designs up at a
pace faster than what I can do on my own, the initial contest
is for new designs. There will be contests in the future
that will be centered around specific themes, but for this
contest it is totally open.
Any concept, any subject having to do with animal welfare
can be submitted. Hopefully there will be designs for
some species in addition to dogs.
The designs will be voted on by the members on the mailing
list. First place will win $50 cash. Second place
will win a certificate to the site valued at $35 and third
place will win a certificate valued at $25. Anyone who
submits a design that is chosen to be listed on the site
afterwards will receive a free t-shirt (shipping not included)
with their design printed on it. All designs will become
the property of Doni's Dogs. By submitting a design for
the contest you are agreeing to relinquish all rights to the
design over to Doni's Dogs to be used at their discretion and
can not be submitted or used in other locations without our
written permission. The creator will be credited with the
design on the pages the designs are displayed on.
All designs must be original pieces and must be the sole
property of the person submitting it. The designs can not
attack any specific group or organization specifically.
The concept of the design must be in some way educating the
public about some aspect of animal welfare. Doni's Dogs
reserves the right to refuse acceptance of designs that we
determine to be inappropriate in any way. All designs
must be submitted by Midnight on September 30th, 2008.
The designs will be displayed on the site for voting on by the
members of the newsletter list by the 5th of October and voting
will occur between October 5th and the 15th. The winners
of the contest will be announced on the site on October
20th.
