Group Information and Requirements
All organizations who participate with us will receive a
portion of the net proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts. Net
Proceeds will be calculated by subtracting the actual cost to
produce the shirts from the sale price of the shirts. At this
time, 65% of the net proceeds will be given to the animal
welfare groups. The remaining 35% will go to cover overhead
costs. As sales increase and the amount needed to cover the
overhead costs decreases, the portion going to the groups will
also increase, to a maximum of 75%. For most of the designs the
entire 65% will go to the group designated by the individual
who is making the purchase. There are a few special designs
that will receive 25% of the proceeds from all sales of
anything with that design on it. In these instances the group
the purchaser has designated to receive the proceeds will
receive 40% of the proceeds.
There are 5
requirements for groups to be allowed to
participate with us.
- You must be in someway involved in animal welfare, i.e.
– rescue, adoptions, transport, support with financial
help for medical treatment, public education on animal
welfare issues, etc.
- You must place a banner or a button on your
web site that links to our page
- You must give us the name and phone number of a vet you
work with who can verify that you are a legitimate group.
We must also be able to look up the number for the vet in a
phone directory. If you are a transport only group and you
do not have a vet reference you must supply us with the
names of the rescues/shelters you work with for doing the
transports. We must be able to contact the rescues/shelters
through a number we have been able to verify separate from
the information you gave to us
- You must have a verified Business Pay Pal account that
funds can be deposited into.
- You must provide us with a Federal ID# - EIN. As per
IRS regulations any payments that total more than $600 in
any given year will be reported to the IRS.
As long as the above criteria are met, we do not care
whether or not you are a 501c3. If you have any problem with
any of these things, contact us and tell us what the issue is.
It is not our intention to exclude any organization. We want to
be able to demonstrate that the funds are going to a legitimate
animal welfare group.
We reserve the right to exclude any organization that we
feel does not fit within the intention of what we are
supporting. In other words, if you call yourself a shelter and
euthanize 90% of the animals that come into your doors, that
does not fit with what we are trying to promote.
In addition, if any group who is already listed on our site
at any time has legal charges filed against them that include,
but are not limited to, neglect or abuse of an animal, we
reserve the right to remove their name from our site. If
a group is removed under these circumstances, they may not
reapply to be listed again until all legal issues are resolved,
and we reserve the right to choose not to list them when they
reapply.
Participating organizations will receive a monthly report
showing the amount of donations that have been made to their
account and the number of t-shirts sold on their behalf.
